Pathways AI Senior Program Manager

CampusEvolve is a mission-driven AI startup founded in 2023. We build AI tools for state education and workforce systems with one clear purpose: to simplify every learner’s path to economic mobility.

Our work sits at the intersection of AI, education, and economic mobility. We research and design human-centered, context-aware AI solutions that support individuals as they navigate complex education, training, and career pathways. Our research aims to inform the development of a learner-centered pathways model that will provide seamless and holistic guidance. Our flagship product, the AI Guide, provides personalized, natural-language guidance to learners across career choices, academic and training opportunities, financial aid, and basic needs resources.

We partner closely with state agencies, school districts, colleges, workforce organizations, and employers. Our goal is not simply to build products, but to strengthen education-to-career systems at scale, driving higher enrollment, completion, and equitable career outcomes across Washington State and beyond.

The Opportunity

Impact is foundational to our work. If you are not deeply motivated by improving education and workforce systems—and by using technology responsibly to expand opportunity—this role is not the right fit.

We are a small, collaborative startup, and this is a high-trust, high-responsibility role. We are seeking a Program Manager who will work closely with the CEO to lead local implementations of our multi-stakeholder partnerships, manage pilot projects, inform product feedback cycles, and ensure our work is grounded in the lived reality of learners. This role is about high-quality program implementation and change management.  You will translate program insights into our product, research, and growth strategy.

What You’ll Do

Partnerships & Program Leadership

  • Lead engagements with our ecosystem partners:

    • High schools, higher education systems, and professional certification programs

    • Workforce development programs

    • Employers, especially small and medium-sized enterprises

    • State agencies for education and workforce development

  • Work closely with our nonprofit partners operating in communities and supporting implementation efforts.

Research, Pilots & Implementation

  • Manage applied research and pilot projects with our education and workforce partners.

  • Design and oversee qualitative research efforts, including focus groups and in-depth interviews with our stakeholder co-design teams.

  • Synthesize findings into clear insights that inform product design, implementation strategy, and policy discussions.

  • Co-develop a change-management playbook for effective human + AI advising models, grounded in pilot results.

Product Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between program implementation and the Product team.

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to ensure that learner needs are reflected in the AI Guide’s design and functionality.

  • Help translate real-world advising and institutional workflows into scalable product requirements.

Deliverables & Field Contribution

  • Produce high-quality deliverables for our philanthropic funders, including:

    • Research reports

    • Implementation summaries

    • Presentations for funders and state stakeholders

  • Support grant reporting and communications with public-sector and philanthropic partners.

  • Contribute to field-building efforts around responsible AI in education and workforce development.

Skills

  • Empathy and Social Context Awareness
Ability to deeply understand diverse learner experiences and institutional contexts, while also seeing the broader education-to-workforce system.

  • Clear and Compelling Communication
Experience developing presentations, reports, and written materials for varied audiences, including practitioners, funders, and policymakers.

  • Commitment to Systems Change
A genuine passion for improving education and workforce outcomes through practical, grounded work—not abstract theory or products alone.

  • Collaboration and Adaptability
Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment where roles are fluid and initiative matters.

Experience & Background

  • Experience working directly with education, training, and workforce leaders and understanding their operational realities.

  • Familiarity with product development processes, particularly in education, workforce, or learning technology contexts.

  • Experience conducting qualitative research, including facilitating focus groups and interviews.

  • Background in education, workforce development, public policy, research, nonprofit work, or related fields.

  • Experience operating in entrepreneurial or early-stage environments where collaboration and flexibility are essential.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $135K–$145K, based on experience

  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, PTO, holidays

  • Flexibility: Remote-first with collaborative culture
