CampusEvolve is a mission-driven AI company backed by the Gates Foundation and Schultz Family Foundation. We’re making our first internal technical hires as we grow from MVP to scale, starting in Washington State and expanding nationwide.

You’ll join as one of our first engineers, working across the full stack and helping shape our technical culture. Your work will directly impact thousands of students as they explore and complete their pathways from learning into careers.

The Opportunity

​

​We’re hiring engineers who will collaborate closely with our partner development team, then grow into owning core platform areas:

​

  • Full-Stack Developer (AI Focus) – Build features end-to-end across React, Python, and Node.js while learning how to integrate AI into real-world applications.

  • Platform/DevOps Engineer – Keep our microservices and infrastructure running smoothly, improve CI/CD pipelines, and manage Docker and Azure deployments.

 

The roles are hands-on, cross-functional, and ideal for engineers (4–7 years of experience) who want to grow into technical leadership.

 

What You’ll Do

 

First 3 Months

  • Ship features, fix bugs, and learn our stack.

  • Shadow senior devs on deployments and incident response.

  • Ramp up on our AI integration patterns and infrastructure.

 

After Ramp-Up

  • Own end-to-end features or infrastructure areas.

  • Debug production issues and improve system reliability.

  • Implement AI features and optimize performance.

  • Contribute to architecture decisions and team culture.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Backend: Python (FastAPI, async) or Node.js

  • Frontend: React, TypeScript

  • Databases: MongoDB, SQL, Redis (bonus: Neo4j/vector DBs)

  • DevOps/Infra: Docker, CI/CD, Azure (AWS/GCP fine)

  • AI/LLM: APIs like OpenAI or Claude (nice to have, we’ll train)

 

Other qualities we value:

  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

  • Comfort working across the full stack

  • Experience at startups or with small fast-paced teams

  • Clear communication and documentation

  • Growth mindset and ownership mentality

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $120K–$165K based on experience
